We've been lucky enough to have some incredible speakers come to Winchester. Learning about interesting topics directly from experts in the field is one of the most celebrated things Rotary provides. Our members are consistently inviting guests to join us, meet the Speaker, and hear from them. Sometimes the speaker draws a large enough audience we are happy make it an open event to the community.
Congressman Andy Barr
U.S. Representative Andy Barr and his team has visited with us multiple times. In 2024 he spoke quite a bit about the future of crypto currency and the U.S. response. He also fielded lots of questions. It was a great event this one was open to the entire community.
Dave Baker
The estimable and always funny Dave Baker joined us in 2024. He shared some hilarious inside stories covering the many Kentucky basketball and football coaches over the years. Thanks, as always to Dave Baker!
Clark County Schools Announces a Community Schools Initiative
Rotary hosted this event in 2024 whereby we invited executives and businesses to hear from Superintendent , Christy Bush, GRC Principal Luke Toy, Counselor Mickey, and others regarding a new approach to partnering with businesses. They invited businesses into partnership. Rotary is fortunate to encourage this work and make connections.
Chief Justice Larry VanMeter, Kentucky Supreme Court
The Honorable, Larry VanMeter joined us in 2023. He shared some interesting stories about his time on the bench, working across the state, and his passion for coaching baseball.
